Achieve perfect match and alignment of punched printing plates

Instructions for sending templates:
1. Metal plates should never be cut, rolled or folded. Send them flat, in a heavy cardboard container (like a film or plate shipping box) or sandwiched between two pieces of plywood.
2. Strips of plate or film less than 6” wide are not suitable templates.
3. Creased, bent or folded plate or film samples are not suitable templates.
4. Film templates and mylar flats may be rolled and shipped in a cardboard mailing tube. Do not cut or fold templates and avoid using excess tape.
5. Always indicate which side was up when punching a template.
6. Do not punch more than one piece of material at a time.
7. Clearly mark any unwanted holes or notches on your punched sample.
8. Place a business card, letterhead, or other identification with the template, and indicate whom we should contact.
9. If photographs are requested, digital photos in JPG format are fine. Email them to customersupport@burgessind.com.

Again, please identify the company and your Burgess contact.

Alignment Guarantee
1. Punched plate samples are preferred. We can guarantee alignment to existing registration equipment, only when customer supplies us with a punched plate.
2. Punched film samples or punched mylar can only be used for determining dimensions between holes. They are not suitable for alignment.
3. Hand tabbed flats can only be used for determining dimensions between holes. They are not suitable for alignment. The accuracy of the flat is the responsibility of the customer.
4. Punches, contact boards, stepping and tiling boards and pinbars that are built to drawing specifications or to film samples are guaranteed to match the drawing specifications only. As existing equipment may not be in perfect alignment, new equipment may not match if we do not have a plate sample to align to.
5. Do not discard any packaging materials until you have determined that the new equipment has arrived in good condition and functions correctly for your application.
