The Judge From Hell episodes 11 & 12 finally reveal the true identity of J, and it’s great to know that some of our theories have been right all along. We also see Bit-Na and Da-On getting closer in these episodes. Finally, we get the backstory of the whole Satan situation. Episode 11 begins with Bit-Na killing the demon sent by Bael and then losing all her powers because Bael knows she’s fallen in love with a person and even killed a fellow demon to save him. Bit-Na asks him to kill her, but he says he’d rather kill Da-On than her because that would make her miserable. Bit-Na’s ready to use her knife on Bael at that point, but he takes away her powers to atone as a mere human before a big punishment.
Is Jeong Seonho J?
The big question of the show The Judge From Hell is who is the serial killer who murdered Da-On’s family. In episode 11, the group, i.e., Bit-Na, her minions, and Da-On, focus on the Assemblyman’s younger son, whom she saw in her vision of So-Young’s death. A lot of the 11th episode goes into gathering evidence to prove that Seonho is J. Bit-Na even decides to pretend she wants to marry into the family, specifically, to be married to Seonho. When she’s there to make this proposal, she notices Soenho walk into a secret hideout in the house. This is where all the answers lie. Da-On visits the hospital where Bit-Na was admitted after the knife incident and learns that Seonho was there soon after the incident, making Da-On believe that he’s their guy. On the other hand, Bit-Na finds the landlady unconscious near the villa in the pouring rain and takes her home. She uses human methods to reduce her fever, and when the woman wakes up, she tells Bit-Na how she wants to kill the man who killed her son and tear him to bits. She also says she saw a man with a white flower out in the rain. She tried to get him to confess to his crimes, but he said he didn’t kill her son. This man is Seonho. Eventually, Bit-Na goes back to the assemblyman’s house when none of them are around except the house help, and walks into the secret room.
What she finds would be shocking to any human, but for a demon, it’s probably child’s play. Bit-Na finds preserved body parts in this secret hideout, proving that Satan is in this household. However, before she can exit with the axe that J used to mutilate his victims, Seonho finds her there. She’s lost all her demonic powers, so Seonho is as strong as her, and she fails to fight him off. At the same time, A-Rong hands Da-On the Assemblyman’s floorplan, which shows the passage to a secret hideout. She thinks Bit-Na’s life is in danger and realizes she wants her to be saved.
Who Killed Bit-Na?
Seonho knocks Bit-Na unconscious, and when she wakes up tied up, he finally tells her what happened to the “real” Bit-Na. The judge had found herself in the secret hideout, and obviously, if a human sees what’s happened, they have to be executed. Bit-Na also found a camcorder with a video of somebody torturing Seonho’s mother and starving her to death. It was Taegyu, and he finds Bit-Na in the basement too. At this time, Seonho is desperate for drugs and tells Taegyu that he’ll do anything for him, but to please give him drugs. Taegyu tells him to kill Bit-Na.
In the present day, Justitia brings up Seonho’s mother in front of him, so he freaks out and tries to choke her to death, but Da-On makes it just in time to save her, but also finds out that Seonho’s not in fact their guy. Da-On then calls the police, and Bit-Na’s taken care of by paramedics. Now everybody knows Bit-Na was held captive in the Assemblyman’s home. A little while later, Bit-Na summons Bael and tells him to give her her powers back so she can catch Satan and bring the Kylum back to hell.
Who Is Satan?
Now we’ve been thinking that Satan is J, but we never thought that J could be someone who is merely controlled by Satan. This makes everything much clearer because there are two people we’ve been suspecting as Satan and J. In episode 12, Bit-Na makes the plan of using Seonho as bait to bring out the truth about the other two guys. They burn up a body in Seonho’s car and make him leave a note that says his dad and brother did this. His fake death seems so real that a funeral is also held in his name after the cops interrogate the other two men. In the meantime, Seonho’s provides the cops with the axe that J used to cut up all his victims so that they can get the DNA match. This reveals that it’s Taegyu who has been chopping up the people. So the truth is, Taegyu is J, and Assemblyman Jae-Gul is Satan. Also, the Kylum is safe with them, and that’s why he can live on for years.
Why Did Taegyu Agree To Satan?
In a flashback, we see that Taegyu was desperate for his dad’s love and attention. It seemed he was a child born out of wedlock. One day, when his father didn’t give him the love he needed, Taegyu got furious and murdered the man. This is when Satan showed up and proposed a new life for him—no dead dad and all the love that he wanted. I guess the reason Taegyu agrees to Satan is because he has an intrinsic streak of bad behavior or just plain evil. I guess this is how Satan manipulates an already bad person into killing dozens of people for him and keeping him alive, or rather immortal. He even killed Seonho’s mother, which is probably why the second kid’s addicted to drugs and a little bit insane.
When Taegyu learns about the axe in police custody, he tries to kill his dad (yet again); I’m not sure how he forgot the man’s literally a demon, but anyway, his plan doesn’t work, and instead, Satan stabs him in the leg really hard. Taegyu leaves the house in the hope that he won’t die by the hand of Satan. Bit-Na shows up a little while later at the house and confronts Satan. She sends him to hell in the way she would any human, but Satan leaves the Assemblyman’s body, and Bit-Na has to fight the demon a second time. She sends the Kylum back to hell along with Satan, keeping her promise to Bael.
Back on Earth, Da-On finds Taegyu trying to get away by boat. He beats him nearly to death and tells him he’s waited 25 years for this moment. The guy has the audacity to say that So-Young said the same thing. Taegyu then says that he normally cuts people’s body parts off after they’re dead, but because So-Young wrote his name on her inner arm, or rather etched it in there, he cut her arm off when she was alive. He tells Da-On this, which angers him further. Da-On tells the guy to apologize, but he makes fun of the situation. Eventually, Bit-Na saves the day again, and since Da-On’s the opposite of Taegyu, intrinsically good, he doesn’t kill him. Bit-Na promises to hold a just trial for him.
At the end of The Judge From Hell episode 12, we see dozens of people protesting against Bit-Na. On the other hand, in the court, Bit-Na stands in front of all the people she knows and claims there will be no trial for this case. I guess this means she’s going to send Taegyu to hell without a trial unless she has something else planned. Also, since she’s sent Satan back, it’s possible she’ll ask to be turned human to stay with Da-On and live a happy human life.
